“Cap Caval” is the former name of the Pays Bigouden, a region in the extreme South-West of Cornouaille, this is the name, somewhat forgotten, that Denis Daniel chose in 1984 for the bagad (pipe band) he had just created in Plomeur.

In 20 years of existence the group already has a long history. Since its creation, the band has participated in the Championnat National des Bagadou (National Pipe Band Championships). A rapid ascent began in 1994 that saw the band go in two years from 3rd grade to 1st grade. Since 1996, the Bigouden musicians have competed among the elite where they regularly prove their excellence by obtaining good placings (2002-2006: 5 consecutive years in the top 5).
