The Family Session generally takes place on the first Monday of each month in the Armagh Harps G.F.C. on the Loughgall Rd from 7 until 9.30p.m. The Session is for all pupils and at least one parent is expected to attend.

The usual format is an hour of easy/moderate tunes, with a break around 8 for tea. We ask each family to bring along some biscuits or cakes and we provide tea/coffee/juice. The second half of the session caters for the more advanced musicians, and younger children may go home or stay as they please.

The Session gives our musicians and their families a chance to socialise, and gives parents an opportunity to meet the teachers and be aware of their children’s progress. It also gives a platform to pupils to perform as soloists, and a chance for younger children to hear the music that they will be taught later on.
