There were many highlights, including:

The 11th William Kennedy Piping Festival in November, with The Fieldmarshall Montgomery Pipe Band, The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland, Kathryn Tickell Band, Finlay MacDonald Band, Patrick Molard, Angus MacKenzie, Carlos Nunez, Davy Spillane, Kevin Glackin, Ann Martin, Luigi Lai, Mick O’Brien, Caoimhín Ó Raghailligh, Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin, Steve Cooney, Gearóid Mac Lochlainn, Greer Ramsey, Máire nÍ Ghráda, Balazs Istvanfi, Noel; & Peter Carberry, Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn, Jarlath Henderson, Claire Byrne & Terry Moylan.

Trad at the Trian series from October to April. Guests were: Chúlrua (Paddy O Brien (accordion), Patrick Ourceau (fiddle), Pat Egan (songs); Niall Keegan (flute), Sandra Joyce (songs); Brian Morrissey (banjo/bodhrán), Eoin Coghlan (songs); Cathal Hayden (fiddle), Róisín Elsafty (songs); Mick Quinn (songs/stories), Ciaran O’Grady (concertina); Emily Smith (songs), Caitriona McKay (harp); Brian Finnegan (whistle/flute), Gearóidín Breathnach (songs), with Master Classes in singing, fiddle, whistle, concertina, accordion and banjo.

Visit to Skye for Feis an Earraich in March.

Singing Weekend in June, with workshops for young children and Singing Session in D’Averall House with guests Karan Casey and Barry Kerr.

Launch of Martin Meehan’s solo CD, and “Buille” with Niall Vallely, Paul Meehan & Caoimhín Vallely in June.

In July & August, Martin Meehan, Barry Kerr, Niall & Caoimhín Vallely were involved with Dubbeljoint Theatre Company’s production of Brian Moore’s play, “The Session”.

Concert during “Rathlin Airs” festival with Eamonn Curran, Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn, Barry Kerr, Caoimhín Vallely, Jarlath Henderson and Martin Meehan.

Jarlath Henderson performed at “Piping Live” Festival in Glasgow in August. He has been playing all over the world during the past year which included an opportunity to meet Nelson Mandela in Norway!
